Nitrogen Generators:

Erre Due Nitrogen Generators produce a constant gas supply using Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology. Adsorption is a reversible process in which molecules bind to a surface, which allows for separation of gases in air.

Nitrogen can be produced at up to 99.995% purity.

The generators utilise multiple sets of aluminium extruded columns filled with Carbon Molecular Sieves (CMS) for nitrogen production.

A stream of compressed, pre-treated air crosses the columns from bottom to top and is filtered through the sieves repeatedly until the desired purity is reached. In nitrogen production the CMS adsorbs oxygen and other unwanted gases.

The purified gas is collected and stored, ready for use. If necessary, the gas can be further pressurised and sent to an additional high pressure tank. 

The system operates only half of its columns at any time, to allow for continuous operation when the adsorbent requires purging of accumulated gases, which are released back into the atmosphere. For example when column A needs purging, the system activates column B and purges column A, and vice-versa. The number of columns can be increased for larger gas production volumes.

This process is automatically controlled by Erre Due's PLC control system and dedicated software.
